Book Clubs!

bookclubI love book clubs. After my first book came out, I visited several. I also enjoy reading to a room full of people at a bookstore–people who mostly have not read the book–but there’s something special about sitting in someone’s living room (drinking wine, almost invariably), while people who HAVE read your book are discussing it. It’s a wonderful and frightening feeling.

With the appearance now of my new book, What the Zhang Boys Know, which will officially be published on October 1, I’m looking forward to visiting more book clubs, and I’ve just committed to my first. I’m really looking forward to it!

I’ll be happy to visit book clubs that are relatively nearby, and for those that are farther away, we can always try Skype or another video connection. It’s not quite the same, but it’s still fun. Contact me if you’re interested!
