>Duotrope Digest

>If you are an “emerging” writer of fiction or poetry, you might benefit from Duotrope Digest, an index of markets for poetry, short fiction and, added recently, story collections and novels. When I first came across the site at the beginning of this year, it seemed to have potential but was limited–many important markets weren’t listed. But as the number of users has increased, the scope has expanded so that now it is a rare magazine that is not listed (subject to Duotrope’s listing criteria). I check the site almost every day for magazine markets and have recently begun consulting the small press listing as well.

Duotrope depends on donations to support its maintenance and growing bandwidth needs, so if you are a user please consider making a contribution.
