>I’ve mentioned here before that our Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate from Virginia, Jim Webb, is a novelist, writing mostly war stories from his experience in Vietnam. He has now come under attack from his incumbent opponent, Mr. Macaca himself, George Allen, who, I think it’s safe to say, isn’t much of a literary critic, or even much of a reader for that matter. Webb is fighting back against Allen’s absurdity, I’m pleased to say. Since this subject is only partly literary, and mostly political, I’ve posted my views elsewhere.
