He is also the editor of the acclaimed anthology series, Everywhere Stories: Short Fiction from a Small Planet. A former international lawyer, he lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
Thanks for the great post. I have been working on a novel for NANO and I had another version of the Three-Act Structure I have been using, but this one has a little more detail. I never liked the idea of using a structure like this, but I am actually finding it very helpful.
Is this your model of the three act structure? I would like to use it in my dissertation and need to know how to reference it.

No, I didn’t create this model. I’ve seen it attributed to Syd Field, but I don’t know if that’s the diagram itself or just the concept.
