>Super Bowl

>This is my obligatory Super Bowl post, complete with prediciton. Loyalties aside (born in Indiana, raised in Illinois, Chicago for College, Indiana for grad school), I personally think this is a tough call. I remember the last time the Bears were in the Super Bowl, in 1986. I was living in Singapore (working for a Chicago firm) and was friends with a guy from Boston, so the fact that Chicago was playing New England was perfect. Except that Singapore is half a day ahead of the U.S. so the game was on Monday morning. Even so, the American Business Council rented a ballroom and we watched the game on big screen TVs, complete with brunch and Bloody Maries. I was thrilled with the outcome, but had to dash off to Bangkok that afternoon for a meeting. I think I went directly from the game to the airport if I’m not mistaken.

Anyway, that was then and this is now and like most people (probably) I’m a Peyton Manning fan. The Colts are a classy organization and while I don’t think Rex Grossman deserves the bad rap he gets, I have to give the edge to the Colts, 28-21. MVP: Peyton Manning.
