>The current New Yorker is the Summer Fiction Issue. Not only does it include stories by Mary Gaitskill, Annie Proulx and Vladimir Nabokov, we also get articles by Elizabeth Kolbert and Haruki Murakami, and sidebar’s by Tobias Wolff, George Saunders, Edwidge Danticat and others. And, on top of that, online we have Mary Gaitskill reading “Symbols and Signs” by Nabokov. Lots to read and talk about.

>In past years they had included debut fiction in the Summer Fiction issue, one or two stories by “new” writers. Did you see that in this year’s issue? Maybe they do that in a different issue now?
>Definitely no debuts this year: Gaitskill, Proulx, Nabokov.
