>Under the Volcano

This picture (adopted from the blog page of Under the Volcano) is taken from the Posada de Tepozteco looking down at the Ex-Convento in the village of Tepoztlan, Mexico. The picture alone might be enough to make you sign up for the UTV writing workshops (they’ve added poetry this year, too), but the real reason would be to work with Grace Paley, Kiran Desai, and some other amazing writers. I’ve been to the workshop twice and I can strongly recommend it, so let me know if you have questions. I’m tempted to go back . . .

I am also the co-founder and former editor of Prime Number Magazine and the editor of the award-winning anthology series EVERYWHERE STORIES: SHORT FICTION FROM A SMALL PLANET.
