The Sun Bowl people (I refuse to call it the “Vitalis Sun Bowl”) are surely happy, but I’m not. This was the only game of the Bowl Season I half cared about and it went the wrong way. Northwestern has a miserable record in bowl games, although in fairness to my Wildcats, they’re usally paired against much stronger teams. Such was the case this year when somehow we were set to face UCLA, a legitimate BCS champion contender earlier in the season. And yet we had a chance, and just didn’t pull off the upset. Another bowl game loss, 50-38.
